WOW is honored and proud to announce that Chef Larry G owner of Championship Catering has accepted our culinary challenge of creating a prohibition era menu for our Roaring 20’s themed New Year’s Eve Party. After having conversations with Chef Larry G several months ago, we knew that he could create a menu that would artistically reflect this unique timeframe in American history.
Championship Catering, ranked in the top 10 of St. Louis Catering Companies by the St. Louis Business Journal, has been secured to provide complete catering for this year’s New Year’s Eve Party Spectacular. In addition to Championship Catering, another St. Louis area favorite, Spanky Entertainment Dualing Pianos will be performing themed music as well as requested favorites from our guests. Having Championship Catering and Spanky’s Dualing Pianos would be enough to make the evening sensational but we have been able to increase the evening’s offering by having The Brother’s Bartending Service, a local favorite, as well as Germania Brew Haus, an award winning locally favorite coffee shop. They will be creating both liquor and non liquor drinks. For the non liquor drinks, The Brother’s will be creating their hugely popular hand crafted customized sodas. Germania Brew Haus will be providing their outstanding frozen, iced and hot coffee products. On the liquor side, The Brother’s will be serving beer, wine, and your favorite mixed drinks. In addition they will be providing the most popular signature drinks from the Roaring 20’s. This combination of dedicated award winning artists will make your champagne toast to bring in the New Year a truly unique event to remember.

The 2021 - 2022 New Year’s Eve party at WOW Event Center has been in the planning stages for the last several months and is sure to be one of the hottest events in the entire St Louis area. WOW is host to some of the most beautiful weddings, accommodating up to 250 guests and has recently opened WOW on Broadway which houses a smaller venue along with a boutique hotel.

"OMG-AMAZING! I had never heard so many people talk about how good the food was at a wedding before. People were literally raving about it for days. Chef Larry is amazing to work with, will do basically anything you need, and goes above and beyond for any special requests or allergies. We did appetizers, a buffet, and late night snack and it was all delicious. Everything was also hot and fresh which was a concern for us having a buffet, but there was nothing to worry about! I feel like I can only use Championship Catering for any future catering needs!"

What inspired you to become a chef?
My mom refused to feed me, it was more of a survival thing. Mom, I am kind of kidding. The truth is I have fun cooking. I remember as a kid when my parents would go out on Saturday nights I looked forward to making cakes, brownies and cookies. Later on I would create more claborate meals experimenting with Mexican and Italian dishes, which had its challenges since I grew up in a kosher home. As you can see, I have been a foodie for a long time and feel very fortunate to now get paid for doing something I truly have fun doing. It doesn't get better than that!
